Awards to Follow!
$50/team of two. Register online.
Teams of two climbers will compete together and turn in a combined scorecard. All prizes will be awarded to teams based on the climbs both teammates complete.
The competition will be a standard Redpoint competition with no limit to the number of tries a person gives to each problem.
Categories:
Novice: Up to 5.7
Intermediate: 5.8 to 5.10
Advanced: 5.11 to 5.12
Open: 5.12+
There will be 8 climbs set for each category worth between 25-1150 points. Partners do NOT need to be in the same category to climb together. A climber who is climbing 5.11, for example, will do the Advanced problems, while her partner who climbs 5.7 will do the Novice problems.
Lead climbing is optional during the red-point format. All competitors who lead must either be currently certified for Lead at a PRG Climbing Center or through an equivalent course. The PRG reserves the right to revoke or refuse Lead Climbing privileges for any climber at any time, for any reason.
Prizes will be awarded based on total score, volume of problems completed, best team name, and more!
It takes a lot of dedicated individuals to put on an exceptional competition. We are always looking for interested volunteers who can help make these events the best they can possibly be. In particular, volunteers can help with Judging, Scoring, Set Up and Route Setting. If you would like to volunteer for the Midnight Burn in any one of these areas, please contact Randi Goldberg.
