Some Significant Changes include:
o Revised Rule 5.7.2: Byes at Youth National Championships, based on categories.
o Revised Rule 5.7.4: Byes for youth competitors at the Open National Championships.
o Clarified Rule 5.13.4(b): Speed-only competitors not required to attend local events.
o Revised Rules 5.14.2, 5.14.3, 5.16.1 and 5.16.2: Revised the number of competitors advancing to
the Divisional Championships (10) and National Championships (6).
o Revised Rule 5.28.4: Eliminated “Tops” as a factor for (onsight) scoring.
o Revised Rule 5.29.5: Revised number of competitors advancing to Semi-final rounds of competition for Youth Bouldering, Sport and Speed to twenty (20).
o Revised Rule 5.40.8: Revised rules pertaining to black and red tape.
o Revised Rule 6.5.1: Revised climbing periods for Youth Championship competitions.
o Revised Rule 6.9.2: Clarification of use of official video by judges.
o Revised Rule 6.10.1: Eliminated “Tops” as a factor for (onsight) scoring.
o Revised Rule 7.8.1: Ties “broken by placement in the previous round(s).”

Awards to Follow!
Open to both kids and adults. Teams of two climbers will compete together and turn in a combined scorecard. All prizes will be awarded to teams based on the climbs both teammates complete. The competition will be a standard Redpoint competition with no limit to the number of tries a person gives to each problem. There will be 15 climbs set for each category worth between 10-150 points. Partners do NOT need to be in the same category to climb together. A climber who is climbing V6, for example, will do the Advanced problems, while the partner who climbs V1 will do the Novice problems. Prizes will be awarded based on total score, volume of problems completed, best team name, and more!
Novice: VB- V3
Intermediate: V4-V6+/7-
Advanced: V7 and up
$50 per team of two Intermediate: V4-V6+/7-
Advanced: V7 and up

This is not a USA Climbing sanctioned competition. Participation does not count toward minimum competition requirements for USA Climbing Youth Divisionals.
USA Climbing Registration
Don't forget to register with USA climbing for each new season. Memberships expire on August 31, prior to the start of the Bouldering season, regardless of your renewal date.
Competitors need to be registered with USA Climbing for the local events to be eligible to compete in Regional, Divisional and National championship events. You must sign up within 24 hours of a local event for that event to count toward the minimum required local competition to be eligible for championships.
