Open to both kids and adults. teams of two climbers will compete together and turn in a combined scorecard. All prizes will be awarded to teams based on the climbs both teammates complete. The competition will be a standard Redpoint competition with no limit to the number of tries a person gives to each problem. There will be 15 climbs set for each category worth between 10-150 points. Partners do NOT need to be in the same category to climb together. A climber who is climbing V6, for example, will do the Advanced problems, while the partner who climbs V1 will do the Novice problems. Prizes will be awarded based on total score, volume of problems completed, best team name, and more!

Novice: VB- V2

Intermediate: V3-V5

Advanced: V6-V7

Open: V8 +

$50 per team of two

This is not a USA Climbing sanctioned competition. Participation does not count toward minimum competition requirements for USA Climbing Youth Divisionals.

Sunday September 28 - Finish Projects & Climb

The Birdsboro Climb & Clean is a weekend of work projects, community outreach (UCanClimb2 free climbing introduction) culminating with a Fundraising Dinner and Raffle. Camping is permitted during this weekend at the Millard House (the house immediately after the 1st Wire Bridge crossing at Rustic Park) and in designated areas near the climbing Area. No camping is permitted on the Reservoir level. The Birdsboro Area Climbers Association (a Pennsylvania Not-For-Profit) raises much of it’s yearly operating expenses during this event. This is an opportunity to give back to the climbing community by supporting it with your volunteer work and participation in the Dinner/Raffle. Together we can keep this sport climbing area well maintained to serve both climbers and the local community. Checkout the facebook event page for up the minute info.

Birdsboro Quarry a sport climbing area about 35 minutes west of the Oaks gym. There are well over 100 bolted routes. Parking is located at Rustic Park at the end of Haycreek Road. The approach is about a 15 minute walk over old roadbeds and includes 2 creek crossings over cable bridges.
