The Youth portion of the event will be held under a Onsite Format. Each Age Group will climb 3 to 4 separate routes, receiving a score for their highest point reached.  For more information regarding this or other formats, please consult the 2015 SCS Rulebook found at www.rockcomps.com.

All competitors, parents and coaches are expected to be familiar with the rules prior to attending the competition.

As per USAC rules, all Youth B and older competitors can expect at least one lead climb during the comp.

TeamPRG places 3rd at Bouldering Nationals!


TeamPRG showed up to ABS Nationals in Madison, Wisconsin with a team of 13 climbers. This elite group was TeamPRG's largest national qualifying bouldering team to date. Zoe and Noah both took second in their categories while Leilani, Sol, and Jesse made it to finals.

TeamPRG scored 381 total points, besting Team Texas's 23 climbers by 44 points. Team ABC from Colorado took first place and second place went to Vertical World of Seattle both with significantly larger representation then TeamPRG.

Format
The format will be an Open Redpoint Format with a Modified World Cup Finals for Open Competitors.Climbers' rank in pre-lims and the Junior Event will be based on their top 5 problems. There is no limit on the number of tries. For Open Categories there will be a final round, for up to 8 competitors, or one more than half of competitors present, whichever is smaller. The format for Finals will be Modified World Cup (Onsight). All competitors, parents and coaches are expected to be familiar with these rules prior to attending the competition. Formats are subject to change at any time, subject to the discretion of the PRG.

Adult Categories
Open: Male V8 & up, Female V7- & Up
Advance: Male  V5+ to V8-, Female V4+ to V6+  
Intermediate: Male  V3- to V5, Female V2 - V4  
Novice: Male  V2+ & Under, Female V1+ & Under

Youth Categories

11 & Under  |  12-14  |  15-18  -- Male & Female. 

Age categories are automatically calculated on the basis of birthdates, with the cut-off being March 1, 2015.

Youth (16 & Over) may compete as Open competitors, but their Series Rating will only be calculated (for awards) in that category for that event. If a Youth chooses to compete as an Open competitor in any two pre-lim events, they will be tracked as an Open competitor for the duration of the Burn series, and will not be eligble to compete in a Youth Category at the Burn Championships.
